Last week, we were in Berlin providing the event network for the 16th conference hosted by DENOG e.V.
Specialists from many companies, as well as students and trainees, participated in the three-day event, which consisted of workshops and conferences and was conducted almost entirely in a hybrid format. In addition to over 550 on-site participants, around 200 more were able to follow the event live online.
This multimedia congress, comprising lectures, presentations, and social events, requires a functional digital infrastructure. A high-performance network serves as the backbone of a successful event.
For this, we rely on switches from Juniper, high-performance access points from RUCKUS, as well as Ansible and Netbox.
We visualized the utilization through Grafana in a public dashboard. For example, on Tuesday, we recorded a peak of 559 simultaneously active clients.
However, the best technology alone is not enough to ensure everything runs smoothly. An event is only as good as the team that plans and executes it. Therefore, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to DENOG e.V. for their excellent organization!
