Berlin, July 25, 2024 – The ISP and consulting company rrbone, headquartered in the technology hub of Dortmund, and the Berlin-based Eurofiber Netz GmbH (Eurofiber) have signed a cooperation agreement. Through the collaboration with rrbone, Eurofiber gains another partner offering particularly high-performance products based on state-of-the-art fiber optic technology to private and business customers. Conversely, rrbone expands its business activities to the Berlin location. In the developed areas of Berlin, individuals and companies can now use the ultra-fast network services of rrbone and Eurofiber. This enables users to engage in stable digital communication and utilize the latest technologies.
Marco Sick, Managing Director of Eurofiber, explains: “I am pleased to have rrbone as our partner. Through their high-speed offers on our network, end customers benefit from attractive prices and sustainable offers. This is how we live Open Access in its purest form. As a Berlin-based company, we are committed to the future of our city. Together with our partner companies, we are driving the implementation of the Berlin Gigabit Strategy forward, thereby underscoring our commitment to the technological advancement of the capital.”
Dominik Bay, Network Architect and Managing Director of rrbone: “I am particularly looking forward to the future with Eurofiber. We are proud to be able to deliver high-performance services quickly and easily. The integration of our products into Eurofiber’s fiber optic network provides individuals and businesses in Berlin access to ultra-fast network services and the latest technologies.” With the Open Access approach, Eurofiber enables open access to the telecommunications market, offering all market participants the opportunity to market their fiber optic products without discrimination.
The products of rrbone are now available on Eurofiber’s fiber optic network. Booking is done directly with the provider. Here, end users can view Eurofiber’s active partner portfolio and freely choose their preferred provider.
Eurofiber has set itself the goal of expanding a high-performance fiber optic network in Berlin as a partner of the Berlin Gigabit Strategy. To this end, the company utilizes the existing district heating network in Berlin. Over the coming years, more than 500,000 households and businesses will gain access to FTTB/FTTH fiber optic connections through Eurofiber. The new fiber optic network offers a faster and superior connection compared to existing infrastructures. As a pure infrastructure provider with Open Access, the company does not offer its own end product but enables all internet providers to use the fiber optic network and market their products without discrimination. End customers thus have complete freedom of choice in selecting their internet provider. Eurofiber Netz GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Eurofiber Group, Netherlands.
